| | Beginning of Autumn already - time sure flies.
Our school, Ikenobo, is the origin of ikebana (flower arranging)
school; and others, which all branched off from our school.
We did two styles this time, Shoka shofutai and Free style.
Shoka is traditional, simpler and the naturalistic form of arranging.
We have several styles in the Shoka category. This time we did
Sanshuike (three kinds of materials arranging). Shoka styles
have some rules and one of them is to create Mizugiwa (water edge)
This is to modify the plants's birth and how it grows.
Free style has no set form, or pattern; more like up to arrangers.
We have to organize and order the arrangement. Keep in mind where
to display your arrangement. Our containers are one of our materials.
It is always nice to use local seasonal materials.
What are the most important aspects of flower arranging??
1- Interaction with nature; 2-Display one's creativity; 3-mentally & visually
relaxing; 4- Helps develop concentration, etc........

枝分かれしました。 今回私たちは二つのスタイルをやりました。
生花正風体の三種いけで三種の材料を使い自然的でシンプルで伝統的ないけ方です。
生花にも色々なスタイルがあり規則の一つに水際というのをつくらなければなりません。
これは植物が生まれ成長してゆく過程を表すことも含まれています。
過っては床の間に飾るいけばなとなっていましたが今ではスペースがあるところなら
どこでも良いようです。 自由花は決まった形はありません。 いける方の
いいように 自由にいけられます。アレンジメントを何処におくか考えていけます。
花器は材料の一つです。 近くに見る材料や季節のものを使うようにしたいものです。
お花をやることは自然とのふれあい 想像力を高め 精神的 視的なやすらぎ
集中力を養うのでは？？？？と思っています。参加の方々色々とありがとうございました。
