Mizuhiki Workshop
Mizuhiki is a special decoration for gift wrap/envelope exclusively used for celebration or condolence occasion. “Mizuhiki” means the wrap is sealed, or to protect (contents) from evil, or to bind (“tie”) people. (quoted from Wikipedia)
The purpose of today’s workshop was to practice for a future visit to Millbrook High School to teach their students. Including new members, participants were all concentrated seriously on challenging to learn how to make Mizuhiki including Awaji-ties and Plum flower-ties.
