Event Description

2018 Year-End Luncheon (Boonenkai)

We looked forward to this day to get to have the MHJCA’s special Makunouchi Bento box made by our members, again just like last year. Even packing the Bentos are somewhat fun and that is exactly what the “community” is about. Now that we can get many of typical Japanese ingredients to make Bento easily, you can’t imagine how it must’ve been when they were not available a long time ago and people came to meet other Japanese then were treated to Makunouchi Bento. Time changed but the basic needs are the same. If a box of Bento can make thirty (30) something people including our members and their guests very happy, it was worth for us to work a little harder to plan such a special event. Having videos showing some events in 2018 was another treat, so as the mini-market. People may think it’s not that much, but it does take time and lots of work.
So again, I would like for everyone to remember that it could not have been done without these volunteer members who had dedicated their time and labor to prepare for this special treat. We are all thankful.
Year 2018 is coming to end. I hope every one of today’s participants experienced another joy in getting together and talking about what would be the next year’s resolution.
Thank you, everyone.
