The Mid-Hudson Japanese Community Association (MHJCA) is a non-profit organization created and supported by dedicated individuals, parents and professionals. MHJCA Members are residents of the Hudson Valley Region of New York State (Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Putnam and near-by counties) who have an interest in Japanese culture, how it interacts and intertwines with others, and wish to share that interest with all who live around us.

Membership is open to those of any culture and ancestry, as long as there is a sincere interest in the Japanese cross-cultural mission. Group activities are steadily increasing as the group grows in size. Currently the MHJCA offers social events such as luncheons, picnics and holiday celebrations, as well as activities such as workshops and programs to explore cultural traditions (such as crafts, festivals, cooking, gardening, calligraphy, etc.). The MHJCA also offers educational/language/historical presentations, aimed toward both children and adults in the Hudson Valley area.
